New Test Server on Beta Team!

Hello Penguins!
 
In our developer's update last week, we mentioned that there would be some new stuff launching on Beta Team. We also said there'd be something a little different to test... We need your help to test out a brand new improvement to the chat system! 
 
We've heard that some of you find it hard to chat with friends because of the filters. You asked if we could make it easier to chat with your buddies online.
 
You asked... and we listened! We've made some big improvements for you:
 
•     Now you'll see suggested words above the chat bar as you write sentences!
•     You can click the words that appear, and the system will automatically complete the word for you. Now you'll be able to chat way quicker than before!
•     Tons more phrases than Ultimate Safe Chat... Over 300,000 phrases!
 
We want your help to test the chat system improvement before we release it on Club Penguin. Let us know what bugs or issues you find by submitting a comment in Beta Team. Remember that it's a test site, so things may not work the same way that you're used to (i.e. games, items, newspaper)
 
You can test the new chat system on Beta Team starting today! Can't wait to hear what you think.

Happy77 here. Just wanted to share some of the fabulous igloos we've spotted around the last few weeks. 

Since we released the new furniture catalog, we've seen a lot of half-pipes and ramps around. Some of you even transformed your igloos into giant snow parks!

Developer Update: August 16

Hello Penguins,

Here's another quick update on what we've been working on behind the scenes here at the Club Penguin office. We're excited about some new things coming in the next few months. Here's a few of them:

New System Defender level - We're just about finished a brand new level for the EPF-only game System Defender. The new level will be released at the end of this week. Remember that you'll need to be a secret agent to play the game! 

The Great Snow Race - Next week we'll be releasing the first ever "Great Snow Race", a party for extreme sports fans! We'll let you know more about this one next week. But for now, here's a little sneak peek:

Bugs squashed - There are a few silly bugs out there that we're in the process of squashing. Don't worry -- we've heard you and we're working on them every week. Thanks for letting us know about them. Remember to let us know what web browser you're using and the server you were on if you're letting us know about a bug. 

Beta Team testing -- We're just about finished setting up something special for Beta Team testers. Testers: get ready to help beta test something a little different than a game...

Operation Blackout next EPF System Defender Game?

Hey guys! You might have seen that I recently sent an email to Club Penguin, and there IS going to be an Operation Blackout! Read what they said:

Now, you were able to spot that 'Operation: Blackout' screen in the Tour Video hey?  That is quite the catch...  You must be fantastic at Where's Waldo.  I haven't heard too much about it at all, but I will be sure to ask G the next time I see him.  Be sure to keep an eye out for him too!  You never know when he might show up.

I'm thinking... does the new system defender game (Launching August 11th...) have to do with anything about the Operation Blackout? That sure gives something to think about...If YOU have any answers, please, email me or comment in the box below. THANKS!

Email from Club Penguin!

Hey guys! I sent an email to CP a few days ago (Sorry I was unable to update, I traveled to a place with no internet lol) so I asked a few questions.

Hi Tayloro,

It's great to hear from you today.  I hope that your blog is coming along well!  I'll definitely do my best to answer your questions.

To start, I too have been hearing a few rumors about this 'Shadow' or 'Midnight' Ninja...  I sure hope that they are true!  It would be really cool if there was a new outfit.  I think I would be most excited though because it might mean a new Card-Jitsu game too!  Be sure to keep an eye on the Club Penguin Times Newspaper for any news on that...  I am sure that when Sensei has everything ready to go he will let us all know what we can expect as far as a new Card-Jitsu element is concerned.

Now, you were able to spot that 'Operation: Blackout' screen in the Tour Video hey?  That is quite the catch...  You must be fantastic at Where's Waldo.  I haven't heard too much about it at all, but I will be sure to ask G the next time I see him.  Be sure to keep an eye out for him too!  You never know when he might show up.

Finally, building an Ice Cream Parlor sounds like a fantastic idea.  It would definitely be the sweetest addition to Club Penguin since Bean Counters was updated!  If something like this could be built, where do you think it could go?  Perhaps we could explore a bit more of the island and find a NEW place for it!  I can't make any promises, but definitely write back and let us know what you think and we will see what we can do.
